Exelon Voltage Optimization Program

Commonwealth Edison Company (ComEd) is a unit of Chicago-based Exelon Corporation (NYSE: EXC), the nation’s leading competitive energy provider, with approximately 10 million customers. ComEd provides service to approximately 4 million customers across northern Illinois, or 70 percent of the state’s population. ComEd is asking for a decrease the amount it charges customers for the delivery of electricity compared to previous rates. The request will decrease the average total monthly residential bill by 38 cents. TWG is looking forward to being a partnering with the Exelon.

ComEd Suburban Smart Streetlight Project

Smart streetlights take LED benefits a giant step beyond by leveraging digital technologies. Like smart meters, the lights tap into a wireless network that allows for two-way communication with grid operators. This “talking” ability enables Bensenville and Lombard communities to work with ComEd to easily adjust the daily scheduling of lights and enables the lights to take the initiative and essentially phone home to notify operators when they need maintenance or replacement. Navy Pier Decorative Pole Design

Lighting Solutions of Illinois, A Will Group Company partnered with Valmont’s 70-year experience in the industry and commitment to assisting the Navy Pier through the design, manufacturing as well as installation processes, the pier successfully began its next 100-year journey in July 2016. Chicago Infrastructure Trust Smart Streetlight Project

The Chicago Infrastructure Trust, in coordination with the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, launched a major initiative to upgrade more than 270,000 of the city’s street, alley and park lights to more reliable and higher-quality lighting. The Chicago Smart Lighting Project seeks to improve safety and quality-of-life in neighborhoods across Chicago by replacing nearly all of the city’s outdated and inefficient High Pressure Sodium lamps.  O’Hare Lighting Modernization Project

O’Hare International Airport set out to upgrade to LED streetlights. “Chicago believes in its local businesses and this deal represents our commitment to fostering the success of companies like the Will Group while working to revitalization our neighborhoods,” said Mayor Emanuel. “Neighborhood investments don’t just create jobs; they create stronger communities, and I look forward to seeing what great things are in store for this company and its surrounding residents.”

ComEd Streetlight Data Collection and Management

Providing Streetlight data collection and GIS analyzation as over 150,000 streetlight are updated throughout the Common Wealth Edison trade territory. The scope of work includes locating all utility owned fixtures, recording 48 attributes in a required attributes list, identifying any requirements to bring each street light pole to the to LED specification, and associating each fixture with an existing GIS pole record and or an existing billing ID record in a specified format to upgrade systems with no manual intervention. Lewis & Clark Bridge LED Project

The Lewis and Clark Bridge, also called East End Crossing, outside of Louisville, Kentucky, is an auto and pedestrian bridge connecting Prospect, Kentucky and Utica, Indiana over the Ohio River. The bridge needed a lighting solution that would allow pedestrians and autos to move through the same space, comfortably existing and using the bridge together. Thoughtful integration of those two traffic lanes allows both commuter and recreational traffic to exist side by side. The design required directionally specific cues to make that work.

The installation gives drivers and pedestrians glare-free LED illumination. They illuminate in symmetrical or asymmetrical distribution without needing to tilt the handrail, thus forcing an unwanted design change. The Will Group was a proud partner.
