ComEd Decorative Light Survey Pilot Program
Overview:
ComEd maintains decorative lighting assets throughout its service territory, but inconsistencies developed between historical records and what existed in the field. To address this, ComEd launched a pilot program requiring detailed on-site surveys and verified data collection. TWG was selected for our extensive lighting experience and proven reliability. Working closely with ComEd, we developed a structured safety plan and survey strategy to ensure field teams could systematically document fixtures within designated service areas.
What TWG Delivered:
– Field Surveys: Completed on-site assessments of decorative lighting assets.
– Data Verification: Helped reconcile discrepancies between records and field conditions.
– Lighting Expertise: Applied decades of lighting program experience to a specialized initiative.
– Collaborative Planning: Developed safety protocols and city-by-city survey plans with ComEd.
– Ongoing Support: Continues to assist as ComEd expands survey requests.
Results:
TWG’s structured survey approach helped ComEd begin building a verified, accurate inventory of decorative lighting assets. The pilot’s success strengthened collaboration with ComEd’s project team and led to ongoing field assignments, supporting long-term planning and maintenance needs.
