Dettro Drive Connection - City of Mattoon
Overview:
The project evaluated a proposed roadway connection from Route 16 (Charleston Avenue) to Dettro Drive, creating an additional access point to the adjacent commercial developments. The study focused on improving connectivity, safety, and traffic operations.
What TWG Delivered:
– Phase I Engineering: Conducted preliminary design and evaluation in accordance with IDOT standards.
– Surveying & Preliminary Plans: Completed topographic and boundary surveys and developed preliminary roadway plans.
– Traffic & Safety Analysis: Performed crash analysis and traffic studies to assess existing and future conditions.
– Drainage & Intersection Design: Evaluated drainage design and intersection configurations to support safe and efficient traffic flow.
– Environmental & Noise Study: Conducted environmental documentation and noise analysis.
– Project Development Report: Prepared a comprehensive PDR outlining design recommendations and project feasibility.
Results:
TWG Engineering is providing engineering services for this roadway improvement project, supporting enhanced access, safety, and traffic flow for the surrounding commercial area. The project is currently ongoing.
