Wheaton Warrenville South HS & North Fields

Overview:

Wheaton Warrenville South was landlocked and lacked outdoor space for gym classes, intramural sports, and athletic programs. At the same time, Wheaton North was undergoing its own athletic field renovations. The school board approved upgrades across both campuses, including enhancements to Red Grange Field, new lighting for soccer and lacrosse fields, and a renovated track, creating well-lit, multi-sport spaces that meet the needs of expanding student programming.

What We Delivered:

-Lighting Design + Safety Expertise: Our team worked closely with District officials and Booster Clubs to develop lighting plans that met high-performance and safety standards. We considered critical variables like lighting loads, pole weight, soil conditions, and regional wind speeds to ensure the infrastructure would be durable and efficient.

-Programming Benefits + Maintenance Savings: The advanced lighting system enables increased field use, reduced maintenance needs for turf, and safer conditions for athletes. High-uniformity illumination improves visibility while lowering long-term operating costs.

The enhanced athletic fields now support a wide range of student and community programming. With better lighting and increased usability, Wheaton Warrenville South and Wheaton North have transformed their facilities into high-functioning, year-round assets for sports, recreation, and school pride.
