YMCA Parking Lot & Pavilion Improvements – Mattoon, Illinois

Overview:
The project included the design and development of a new parking lot and pavilion on the east side of 15th Street. The work focused on improving site circulation, expanding parking capacity, and integrating supporting infrastructure to serve YMCA members and visitors.

What TWG Delivered:
– Surveying & Site Analysis: Completed ALTA and geotechnical surveys to support design and development.
– Site & Grading Design: Developed grading plans to ensure proper drainage and long-term site performance.
– Parking & Circulation Design: Designed interior roadways, parking areas, and sidewalks to improve access and flow.
– Utility & Infrastructure Design: Designed stormwater detention, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, underground utilities, and site lighting.
– Access Improvements: Designed and constructed entrances connecting the site to 15th Street.
– Site Enhancements: Included pavement sealing, striping, signage, seeding, and other appurtenances.

Results:
TWG Engineering delivered a comprehensive site design that improved accessibility, increased parking capacity, and enhanced the overall functionality of the YMCA facility. The project was completed in 2023.
