NIPSCO Underground Jacketed Cable Inspection Program
Overview:
NIPSCO is working to transition older unjacketed underground cables to modern jacketed installations. TWG’s role is to locate and document unjacketed cables across designated areas, supplying the data NIPSCO needs to plan upcoming construction work. TWG assembled a properly scaled field team, developed detailed safety plans, and collaborated closely with a partnering construction crew to maintain alignment and communication. A structured data-tracking process ensured consistent progress and on-schedule delivery.
What TWG Delivered:
– Cable Identification: Inspected underground infrastructure to locate unjacketed cables.
– Coordinated Field Work: Aligned activities with a construction partner for efficient execution.
– Scaled Team Support: Built appropriate field capacity to meet NIPSCO’s volume needs.
– Safety Protocols: Implemented comprehensive safety plans for underground inspections.
– Data Management: Tracked findings and progress through structured analysis.
Results:
TWG helped NIPSCO meet annual inspection goals, keeping the program aligned with planned construction upgrades. Our accuracy and reliability led NIPSCO to award TWG an expanded portion of the program, further strengthening the long-standing partnership.
