Scroll to learn moreWith the JFK Terminal 4 Phase 2.5 redevelopment program, TWG helped facilitate the development of a fresh and modern terminal to deliver an elevated airport experience to New York travelers. Budgeted at $1.5 billion, adding over 200,000 SF to the existing terminal. The project increased the airport’s capacity by building ten new aircraft parking positions, adding an additional domestic baggage claim carousel. This program also included multiple new lounges, including a best-in-class premium lounge spanning 39,000SF. Additionally, airport and terminal operations were maintained throughout construction, ensuring a more convenient and enjoyable travel experience for passengers.
To continue building a seamless customer experience, the program included improvements such as an updated check-in hall, new gate finishes, added drop-off areas, additional digital signage, restroom modernizations, continued technological and LEED enhancements, as well as the transformation of regional jet gate areas to accommodate mainline aircraft. Furthermore, to ensure the highest level of customer service and minimal disruptions to active operations during this renovation, the enhanced Terminal 4 was completed across multiple phases from 2021-2024 in collaboration with design groups Gensler & ARUP and construction manager Turner Construction.
