Rodeo Drive Roundabout – Village of Bolingbrook

Overview:
The project included the design of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Kings Road, with consideration for future expansion to a multi-lane configuration. The design aimed to improve traffic efficiency while accommodating long-term growth.

What TWG Delivered:
– Phase I & Phase II Engineering: Provided full design services in accordance with IDOT policies and procedures.
– Roundabout Design: Designed a single-lane roundabout with provisions for future expansion to a multi-lane configuration.
– Surveying & Geometric Design: Completed topographic and boundary surveys and developed roadway geometric design.
– Environmental Documentation: Prepared environmental studies, including a Section 4(f) de minimis determination.
– Plans & Specifications: Developed contract plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates.
– Utility Coordination & Public Involvement: Coordinated with utilities and supported public engagement throughout the project.

Results:
TWG Engineering delivered engineering services for this intersection improvement project, enhancing safety and traffic operations while allowing for future expansion with minimal reconstruction. The project was completed in 2019.
