Multi-Family Affordable Housing Development – Arcola, Illinois

Overview:
The project involved full-site infrastructure design and planning for a new residential development, including roadway access evaluation, utility coordination, and stormwater management to support the construction of a 56-unit affordable housing complex.

What TWG Delivered:
– Surveying & Site Analysis: Completed topographic and ALTA surveys to support site planning and design.
– Feasibility & Access Planning: Evaluated access route alternatives and performed traffic analysis to determine optimal site access.
– Site & Infrastructure Design: Designed grading, roadways, sidewalks, and site lighting for the development.
– Utility Design: Designed stormwater detention, underground utilities, sanitary lift station, underground electric, and roadway lighting systems.
– Permitting & Coordination: Secured permits and environmental approvals and coordinated regulatory sign-offs.
– Stakeholder Coordination: Acted as liaison between the City, developer, and contractor throughout the project.

Results:
TWG Engineering delivered a coordinated infrastructure design that supported the successful development of a 56-unit affordable housing community, optimizing site access, utility performance, and long-term functionality. The project was completed in 2018.
